USMLE Step 1 NBME Practice Exam Changes

NBME Breaking News for USMLE Step 1On March 6, 2015, the NBME retired Form 7 of the Step 1 NBME Comprehensive Basic Science practice exams. CBSSA Form 17 was added and is accessible as of March 6th. It is available in both regular and expanded feedback.

The National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) created Comprehensive Basic Science Self-Assessments (CBSSA) for students to have content that is similar to the USMLE Step 1 exam.

There are currently 6 forms available for practice.

  • The CBSSA Forms for Step 1 are 11, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17 – Cost $50/exam.
  • The CBSSA Forms with expanded feedback are 11, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17 – Cost $60/exam.
