  • For topics outside of your specialty or known weaknesses, work through the Part 1 clinical questions and video answers to strengthen these specific areas before beginning the Part 2 video series.
  • Within 2 to 3 weeks of your Step 3 exam date, make a dedicated pass through the Part 2 video series utilizing the Study Guide as you view the videos.
  • After completion of the Part 2 video series, drill back down into any areas that need additional reinforcement by using the Part 1 clinical questions along with any Part 2 videos you may want to go back and review.

Additional Recommendations:

CCS Practice

  • Become extremely familiar with the practice software before test day.
  • The practice software posted on USMLE.org includes a short tutorial and several practice cases that can be completed in as little as an hour or two.
  • Make sure you are comfortable with entering orders, viewing results and advancing the clock in the CCS software.

Using a Question Bank

The Doctors In Training Step 3 Review Course is designed as a stand-alone course; however, many students find it beneficial to complete Qbank questions along with the course.
