The DIT Costume Contest (the “Contest”) officially opens on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Submissions must be received by 11:59 PM (CDT) on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 and voting ends on Thursday November 2, 2017 at 11:59 PM (CDT). The Winner will be announced on DIT’s Facebook page by Friday, November 3, 2017. The Contest is sponsored by Doctors in Training.com, LLC, with offices at 1701 River Run, Suite 750, Fort Worth, Texas 76107 (“Sponsor” or “DIT”). The Contest is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”). By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor and its agents, are final in all respects. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
Easy Promos has been retained by Sponsor to host the Contest.

Official Contest Dates
The Contest officially opens on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
All submissions must be received on or before 11:59 PM (CDT) on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 to be eligible.
Voting ends on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11:59 PM (CDT).
The Winner will be announced by Friday, November 3, 2017 on DIT’s Facebook page.
To Enter, Participants Must

- Page visitors can vote on their favorite costume (only vote once per user allowed).
The winner will be determined by whoever received the most votes and the winner will receive his or her choice of a DIT Step 1 Online Review Course, a DIT Step 2 CK Online Review Course or a DIT Step 3 Online Review Course. The promotion is available to all medical students who are legal residents of the United States.
To be eligible for the contest participants must:
- Be a medical student 21 years of age or older.
- Be a legal resident of the 50 United States or District of Columbia.
- In order to participate, entrants must supply the Contest Sponsor with his/her legal name, mailing address, a valid e-mail address, and daytime and nighttime telephone numbers.
The winner will be judged based on the number of votes the photo received. The photo with the highest number of votes by Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11:59PM CDT will be deemed the winner. In the event of a tie, the Sponsor will determine the winner.
The decisions of the Sponsor will be final and binding in all respects. The winner of the DIT Costume Contest will be informed by e-mail in addition to being announced on DIT’s Facebook page.
First place (1 prize): Winner will choose from one of one of the following:
DIT Step 1 Online Review Course, DIT Step 2 CK Online Review Course or DIT Step 3 Online Review Course.
The first place prize will be awarded to the photo with the most votes and will be sent to the person who submitted the photo. The prize will be awarded only to an individual. The winner of the Contest must supply the Contest Sponsor with his/her legal name, mailing address, a valid e-mail address, and daytime and nighttime telephone numbers.
As a condition of receiving a prize, the winner will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, tax documentation, copyright license agreement and liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be signed and returned to Sponsor within ten (10) days of Sponsor’s postmark. Failure to timely sign and return this affidavit, agreement and release may result in the applicable winner’s disqualification, forfeiture of all interest in prizes, and the selection of a substitute winner. Prizes not won and/ or not claimed by an eligible winner in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of the Sponsor. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his/her email for prize notification or other communications related to this Contest. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by DIT (or its designee) within thirty (30) days of sending the notification email, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize. If a potential winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, that potential winner will be disqualified. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE ARE SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. Prize is non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted; however, DIT reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value. DIT and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize.
INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY.
DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT ENTRANT'S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. DIT AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. Your picture submission must be your own original work. By entering the Contest, you represent and warrant to the Sponsor that:
(a) your picture submission is your original work and that you own all rights in your submission;
(b) your picture submission does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights or any other legal or moral rights of any third party;
(c) your picture submission has not been entered in or won previous contests or awards;
(d) your picture submission has not been published or previously distributed in any media;
(e) your picture submission does not contain any defamatory, libelous, indecent or obscene material; and
(f) you have obtained permission from each person whose name, image, or likeness (collectively, “Likeness”) is included in your submission, such person(s) have granted you all necessary rights to use their Likeness as described in these Official Rules, and you can make written copies of such permissions available to the Sponsor upon request. (If the Likeness of a minor is included in your photo submission, such grant of rights must include a written permission from the minor’s parent or legal guardian authorizing the use of the minor’s Likeness.)
Picture submissions deemed by the Contest Judges in their sole discretion to be immoral, obscene, indecent, profane or not in keeping with the Sponsor’s image will be disqualified. The Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any entry at any time which, in the Sponsor’s opinion, endangers the safety or well being of any person or fails to comply with these Official Rules.
The Contest is open to medical students who are twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry who have Internet access and a valid e-mail account prior to the beginning of the Contest period. To be eligible, you must sign up for an account on the Facebook website and visit our contest page on Facebook. Registration with Facebook is free and is governed by all applicable terms and conditions set by Facebook. Each entrant is solely responsible for complying with the terms and conditions applicable to his/her use of Facebook. Employees, officers and directors of DIT, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, agents and suppliers, as well as members of their immediate families (defined as parents, spouses, children, siblings and grandparents) and individuals living in the same household as those individuals are not eligible to enter or win. DIT has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant.
Rights granted to the Sponsor
By entering the Contest, you agree and irrevocably grant to the Sponsor, their affiliates and their respective assigns, agents and licensees (collectively, the “Sponsor”), the unconditional, royalty-free right and license to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, edit, exhibit, create derivative works and otherwise use or reuse your picture submission, throughout the world, in perpetuity, in any media, including without limitations, the Internet.
Except where prohibited, by entering the Contest you also irrevocably agree that the Sponsor may use your name, likeness, photograph and any statements regarding your submission and participation in the Contest (collectively, “Your Likeness”) throughout the world, in perpetuity, in any media, without limitation or compensation to you. By entering the Contest, you permanently waive all intellectual property rights, privacy/publicity rights and other legal or moral rights that might preclude the Sponsor use of your picture submission and Your Likeness, and you agree not to sue or assert any claim against the Sponsor relating to their use of your picture submission or Your Likeness.
Disqualification for tampering with Contest Materials
The Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or other materials or announcements relating to the Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone found to be tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of the Contest as determined by the Sponsor in their sole discretion. The Sponsor also reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest if tampering, viruses, bugs or other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor corrupts the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated end date, the Sponsor reserves the right to choose winners from among the submissions entered prior to the early termination date.
